Cannavale is no Piven, even if you started inserting an infinite amount of thermometers into him. But he's got some legit charm in this trailer.

Sarah Paulson is one of my most powerful inappropriate crushes, so I have hope. But Marhsall and Piven had such a great chemistry. There wasn't much electricty between Bobby and Sarah in the little trailer.

I'll try, but I'm not convinced.

I hadn't seen either until now, and I prefer the original; the actors are just so much more compelling, so much more subtle and comfortable in their roles.

Original flavor for me, thank you very much. I'll try out the extra crispy, but from what I've seen, Cannavale is playing it too manic without Piven's pathos. That could just be the trailers, though, so I'm willing to give it a shot.

The original is so compelling. I didn't mean to start watching because I had other things to do but I got totally sucked into it. I worry about the new one. It seems to adhere strictly to the old story (save for the change of location) which puts a helluva lot of pressure on two new actors to live up to what others did before them... with second hand material.

I've been watching since Jaime Weinman posted the pilot ... love that show, miss that show, am kinda dreading the new version of the show because I'm not sure I can judge it on its own merits. Plus, Bobby Cannavale? Not quite sold on him.

I'd watch Jeremy Piven stare at himself in a mirror for two hours.

He's my middle-aged fantasty.
