I'm curious to see how this subsequently impacts on the independent producer/creators. The gift in the '60's of smaller affordable film equipment saw a surge in independent cinema - arguably a similar thing is occurring online vis a vis television - but how could a necessarily expansive transmedia experience be created and presented by smaller companies or even individual artisans? Creatively I have no doubts there will individuals or small teams of people capable of crafting their own "symphonies" but to also manage the disbursement and interaction of these worlds can easily be seen as overwhelming. Perhaps we'll see a situation resonant with the indy film world of the '90's where the role of a "broker" comes into play to help the independents mesh with the larger entertainment infrastructure.
