I just noticed that Jekyll is playing on Showcase. If you haven’t seen this British series which got me so excited right about this time last summer, check it out. It’s everything a limited series should be… well almost.

The pilot is one of my favourites ever. Here’s the trailer:

One of my favourite sequences in the series is the one in which we meet Jekyll for the first time. I blogged about when I first saw it and tonight I found the video on YouTube (just one more reason YouTube has become my favourite site on the web). If you haven’t seen the series, DO NOT watch the video. Instead go directly to Showcase and watch it. You won’t be sorry.

  1. I LOVE Jekyll!

    “Trust me, I’m a psychopath!”

And I was pleasantly surprised just last night watching an episode of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles with Henry when I saw the role of a First World War Russian prisoner played by none other than a young James Nesbitt.

Without giving anything away to those who haven’t seen it all, I do hope there are more episodes made because the ending was so …. stunningly sensible and yet unfinished in the full telling of the tale.

The writing is brilliant – but it is the performances of all involved who make Jekyll shine.

    Cheers.

  2. This was a GREAT mini series. I’m glad they didn’t try to make it a continuing series.
Nesbitt is incredible in this, and, though I love Tennant, would kill to see him take over as Doctor Who.

I’m so glad you share my opinion on Jekyll. I was SO excited when I saw it last year but had few people to share my enthusiasm with. Nesbitt is pure genius in it.
